1.What is a planetary gearbox?
A planetary gearbox is a mechanical transmission device composed of multiple planetary gears. It is mainly composed of sun gears, planetary gears, internal gears, etc. Through the cooperation of these components, the slow movement of the output from a high-speed motor of one rotating shaft to another rotating shaft can be achieved, and the direction of rotation can be changed at the same time.
2.Causes of noise in planetary gearboxes
1.Improper gear design, parameter selection, too small fit, improper or no tooth profile modification, unreasonable gearbox structure, etc. In terms of gear processing, there are problems such as excessive base pitch error and tooth profile error, excessive tooth side clearance, and excessive surface roughness.
2.Gear train and gearbox. Assembly eccentricity, low contact accuracy, poor shaft parallelism, insufficient rigidity of shafts, bearings and brackets, low bearing rotation accuracy, insufficient clearance, etc.
3.Other aspects of input torque. Load torque fluctuation, shaft system torsional vibration, motor balance and other transmission torque, etc.
3.Classification of planetary gearboxes
1.According to the power level, planetary reducers can be divided into high-power planetary reducers and low-power planetary reducers. Although these two types of reducers seem to differ only in power, in fact, their functions and application scenarios are significantly different.
2.According to the angle between the input shaft and the output shaft, they can be divided into right-angle planetary reducers and parallel-shaft planetary reducers. The output shaft of the right-angle planetary reducer can be 90 degrees perpendicular to the input shaft, while the parallel-shaft planetary reducer can achieve 360-degree assembly without dead angles.
3.According to the connection method, planetary reducers can be divided into round mounting flange planetary reducers and square mounting flange planetary reducers. Provide a variety of installation methods to meet different application requirements.
4.According to the "gear arrangement" classification, planetary reducers can be divided into spur gear planetary reducers and helical gear planetary reducers. Spur gear planetary reducers are generally used for unidirectional, low-speed, and light-loaded mechanical equipment. Although the helical gear planetary reducer is more expensive, it has higher precision, higher smoothness, and lower noise.
5.According to the "level" classification, planetary reducers are generally divided into one-stage reduction, two-stage reduction, and three-stage reduction. The first stage reduction ratio is usually less than 10:1, the second stage reduction ratio is between 10:1 and 200:1, and the third stage reduction ratio is greater than 200:1. Planetary micro reducers can achieve this. Five levels, the maximum reduction ratio reaches 4592:1.
4.Application scenarios of planetary gearboxes
1.Micro reduction motors: Micro reduction motors often use planetary gearboxes. By reducing the transmission ratio, they can increase engine torque and provide more efficient power transmission.
2.Umbrella industry and office automation: In smart home devices such as automatic curtains and smart bathrooms, planetary gearboxes are used to achieve smooth and precise motion control.
3.Production automation: Widely used in various automated production lines and mechanical equipment, providing stable transmission power and ensuring precise control of the production process.
4.Medical equipment: Planetary gearboxes play an important role in medical equipment that requires precise control and high torque.
5.Financial machinery: Equipment such as banknote counters and advertising light boxes use planetary gearboxes to achieve fast and accurate operation.
6.Transportation: In the automotive and rail transportation sectors, planetary gearboxes are used to improve transmission efficiency and vehicle performance.
7.Industrial applications such as wind power generation and "pump compressors": In these areas, planetary gearboxes are used to improve system reliability and efficiency.
